R548 road (Ireland)
The R548 is a regional road in Ireland. It is located entirely within County Kerry, in the southwest of Ireland. The road connects the N70 national secondary road in Killorglin to the N72 national secondary road in Beaufort. It provides a more direct route between these two towns than travelling via Killarney.
The road is approximately 11 kilometers (7 miles) in length. It passes through primarily rural areas, traversing agricultural land and some forested areas. The R548 is a single carriageway road for its entire length.
The route is important for local traffic and provides access to smaller villages and settlements along its path. It also serves as an alternative route for traffic avoiding the larger towns during peak travel times.
