Matata (group)

Matata is a Kenyan Afro-pop group formed in 2017. The group consists of five members: Marcus Ojiambo (Marcus), Freddy Milanya (Freddy), Richard Mathu (Richie), Ken Kimathi (Ken), and Festus Mutuku (Festus). They are known for their energetic performances, blend of Swahili, English, and Sheng (Kenyan slang) in their lyrics, and their distinctive fashion sense. Matata rose to prominence with their hit singles such as "Mare Mare," "Kata," and "Ruracio."
