ORP Grom (1990)
The ORP Grom (1990) is a Grom-class missile corvette of the Polish Navy. This is the second vessel to bear the name Grom, which translates to "Thunder" in Polish. The name honors the World War II-era destroyer ORP Grom.
Commissioned in 1995, the Grom is designed for anti-surface warfare (ASuW) and limited anti-aircraft warfare (AAW). The ship is equipped with anti-ship missiles, surface-to-air missiles, and artillery, enabling it to engage a variety of targets. It serves as a key component of Poland's maritime defense capabilities, participating in exercises and patrols in the Baltic Sea. The vessel is based in Gdynia.
