Miguel Romero (baseball)

Miguel Romero is a Cuban professional baseball pitcher. He has played in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Yokohama DeNA BayStars and in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics.

Romero began his professional career in Cuba before defecting and eventually signing with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars of NPB in 2018. He pitched for the BayStars until 2022, primarily as a reliever.

In 2022, Romero signed with the Oakland Athletics organization. He made his MLB debut with the Athletics later that season. He has primarily been used as a relief pitcher.
