Big Brother 21 (American season)

Big Brother 21 is the twenty-first season of the American reality television series Big Brother. It aired on CBS from June 26 to September 25, 2019. The season featured sixteen new houseguests competing for a grand prize of $500,000. Julie Chen Moonves returned as host.

The season followed the same general format as previous Big Brother seasons. Houseguests lived together in a custom-built house, isolated from the outside world. Each week, houseguests competed in competitions to determine who would become Head of Household (HOH). The HOH nominated two houseguests for eviction. Following nominations, the Power of Veto (POV) competition took place, where the winner could either save one of the nominees (including themselves) or choose not to use it. After the POV ceremony, the remaining houseguests voted to evict one of the nominees. This process continued until only a few houseguests remained. The final houseguests were then voted on by a jury of previously evicted houseguests.

The winner of Big Brother 21 was Jackson Michie, who defeated Holly Allen in a 6-3 jury vote. The season was notable for controversy surrounding the behavior of several houseguests, including accusations of racism and bullying. Production was criticized for their handling of these incidents.
