Erin Murphy (poet)
Erin Murphy is an American poet, essayist, and educator. She is known for her accessible and engaging writing style, often exploring themes of family, nature, spirituality, and the everyday experiences of life.
Murphy has published several collections of poetry, including Displacement (2023), Assisted Living (2009), and Science of Desire (2004). Her poems have appeared in numerous literary journals and anthologies, including The American Poetry Review, Poetry, and The Gettysburg Review.
In addition to her poetry, Murphy has written essays on poetry and poetics. She has also served as an editor for various literary magazines.
Murphy has received numerous awards and fellowships for her work, including grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Minnesota State Arts Board.
She currently teaches creative writing at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
