Vest Buss
Vest Buss was a Norwegian bus manufacturer based in Bergen. Founded in 1965 as Vest Karosseri, the company specialized in building bus bodies on chassis from various manufacturers, including Volvo, Scania, and others.
Vest Buss was a significant player in the Norwegian bus market, producing a wide range of buses for local, regional, and long-distance transport. Their product line included city buses, intercity buses, and coaches.
In 2003, Vest Buss was acquired by Volvo Buses. The Vest Buss name was discontinued shortly thereafter, and its facilities were integrated into Volvo's existing operations in Norway. While the Vest Buss brand is no longer in use, the buses it produced remain a common sight in parts of Scandinavia, and its legacy is present in the development of later Volvo bus models in the region.
