Ahir Shah
Ahir Shah is a British stand-up comedian and writer. He is known for his intellectually stimulating and politically charged comedy, often exploring themes of identity, religion, race, and social justice.
Shah gained recognition for his Edinburgh Fringe shows, particularly Machines (2015), Duffer (2016), and Control (2017), the latter of which was filmed for BBC iPlayer. His comedy style is characterized by its thoughtful observations, sharp wit, and introspective nature. He frequently draws on his own experiences as a British Indian of Muslim heritage to provide unique perspectives on contemporary issues.
He has also appeared on television and radio programs such as Have I Got News for You, The Guilty Feminist, and Mock the Week. Shah's writing credits include contributions to The Mash Report. He has received critical acclaim for his live performances and has toured internationally.
