Johnny Campbell (footballer, born 1928)
Johnny Campbell (born 28 July 1928, date of death unknown) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a right winger.
Campbell began his career with Kilsyth Rangers before joining Clyde in 1949. He made a significant impact at Shawfield Stadium, becoming a regular in the first team. He was known for his pace, dribbling skills, and crossing ability. He was part of the Clyde team that reached the Scottish Cup final in 1955, losing to Celtic. He spent a number of seasons with Clyde before moving to Stirling Albion in 1959. He subsequently played for Dumbarton, finishing his senior career with them. Details of his career after leaving Dumbarton are currently unknown.
