JoJo (singer)

JoJo (born Joanna Noëlle Levesque, December 20, 1990) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She rose to fame in the early 2000s after appearing on the television show America's Most Talented Kids and subsequently signing with Blackground Records.

JoJo released her self-titled debut album, JoJo, in 2004 at the age of 13, which included the hit single "Leave (Get Out)." The album achieved platinum status. Her second album, The High Road, was released in 2006 and featured the singles "Too Little Too Late" and "How to Touch a Girl."

Following disputes with her record label that hindered her ability to release new music for several years, JoJo eventually signed with Atlantic Records in 2014. She re-recorded her first two albums and released them under the titles JoJo and The High Road, respectively.

Her third studio album, Mad Love., was released in 2016. Subsequent albums include Good to Know (2020) and Trying Not to Think About It (2021). JoJo is known for her powerful vocals and R&B-influenced pop sound.

In addition to her music career, JoJo has also appeared in several films and television shows, including Aquamarine (2006) and RV (2006). She has been nominated for several awards, including a Billboard Music Award and an MTV Video Music Award.
