Elastinen

Elastinen is the stage name of Finnish rapper, songwriter, and record producer Kimmo Ilpo Juhani Laiho. He is one of the most prominent and influential figures in Finnish hip-hop.

Elastinen rose to fame as a member of the acclaimed Finnish rap group Fintelligens in the late 1990s and early 2000s. After Fintelligens went on hiatus, he embarked on a successful solo career.

He is known for his energetic live performances, positive lyrics, and collaborations with numerous artists from various genres within the Finnish music scene. Elastinen's music often incorporates elements of funk, soul, and pop alongside traditional hip-hop.

Beyond his work as a performer, Elastinen has also served as a judge on the Finnish version of the music competition television show The Voice of Finland. He has released several successful solo albums, consistently topping the Finnish charts. His contributions to the development and popularization of Finnish rap music are widely acknowledged.
