John Healy (Irish politician)

John Healy (1930-1991) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. He served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Kerry South constituency from 1969 to 1989.

Healy was born in Lisselton, County Kerry. Before entering politics, he worked as a journalist and broadcaster. He was a prominent figure in Kerry politics for two decades, known for his strong constituency work and contributions to debates in Dáil Éireann.

During his time in the Dáil, Healy served on various committees. He was a vocal advocate for rural development and the interests of farmers and fishermen. He held a particular interest in tourism and its impact on the Kerry region.

Healy lost his seat in the 1989 general election. He died in 1991.
