Stompa
A Stompa is a colossal, ramshackle war machine used by Orks in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. These walking behemoths are cobbled together from scrap metal, looted technology, and sheer Ork ingenuity. Stompas are typically much larger than even Ork Gargants, representing a massive undertaking for an Ork Mekboyz (engineers) to construct.
Stompas are characterized by their haphazard construction, excessive weaponry, and sheer destructive power. They are essentially mobile fortresses bristling with guns, cannons, and melee weapons. No two Stompas are exactly alike, as their designs are heavily influenced by the available materials and the whims of their Mekboy creators.
Common features of a Stompa include massive crude cannons, close combat weapons such as power klaws or chainfists, and various smaller guns scattered across its structure. They are also often adorned with trophies and crude ornamentation reflecting Ork culture and superstition. The crew of a Stompa typically consists of a large number of Orks, who operate the various weapons and maintain the machine's functionality through brute force and constant repairs.
Stompas are deployed on the battlefield as shock troops, smashing through enemy lines and unleashing devastating firepower. Their imposing size and resilience make them a terrifying sight for any opponent, and their presence can often turn the tide of battle in favor of the Orks. While lacking the precision of more advanced weaponry, the sheer volume of fire and the destructive power of a Stompa make it a formidable threat. Their chaotic and unpredictable nature also makes them difficult to counter strategically.
