Stepney railway station (East Riding of Yorkshire)

Stepney railway station was a station located in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, serving the village of Stepney. It was situated on the Hull and Scarborough Railway, later part of the North Eastern Railway, and subsequently the London and North Eastern Railway.

The station opened in 1847 and closed to passengers in 1964 as part of the Beeching cuts. Goods traffic continued for a short period before complete closure.

The station was a typical rural railway station of its era, with basic passenger facilities including platforms and a station building. It provided a vital link for the local community to larger towns and cities for commuting, trade, and leisure.

Little remains of the station today. The site is largely overgrown, although remnants of the platforms and station building foundations may still be discernible.
