Marc Schneider (footballer)

Marc Schneider (born July 23, 1980) is a Swiss football manager and former player. He is currently the manager of FC Thun.

Playing Career

Schneider played as a defender. He spent the majority of his playing career in Switzerland, primarily with FC Thun. He also had spells with Young Boys and FC Biel-Bienne. He was known for his consistent performances and leadership qualities on the pitch.

Managerial Career

Schneider began his managerial career with FC Thun's youth teams. He was later promoted to manage the first team, achieving promotion to the Swiss Super League in 2019. After a successful period with FC Thun, he took on the role of manager at Waasland-Beveren in Belgium. He later managed Greuther Fürth in Germany. In June 2024, he returned to FC Thun as their manager.
