Love Island (American TV series) season 5 is the fifth season of the American adaptation of the British reality television dating game show Love Island. It premiered on July 16, 2023, on Peacock, marking the show's move from its previous broadcast network, CBS. The season follows a group of singles, known as Islanders, who are brought together in a villa and must couple up with another Islander to avoid being eliminated. Throughout the season, the Islanders face various challenges and recoupling ceremonies that test their relationships. New Islanders, called "bombshells," are introduced regularly to disrupt existing couples and provide new romantic options. The public votes for their favorite couples, and the couple with the most votes at the end of the season wins a cash prize. Season 5 featured Sarah Hyland returning as the host and Iain Stirling narrating. The location for the season was Fiji.
