Letničie
Letničie (Slovak, plural)
Letničie refers to annual flowering plants in the Slovak language. The term describes plants that complete their life cycle – from germination to flowering and seed production – within a single growing season (typically one year). They are often cultivated for their vibrant colors and ability to provide quick and relatively low-maintenance displays of blooms. After flowering and setting seed, the plant dies. Letničie are popular in gardens, balconies, and containers, particularly during the warmer months. Examples of common letničie include petunias, marigolds, zinnias, and sunflowers. The specific requirements for cultivation vary among different species of letničie, but generally involve sufficient sunlight, watering, and well-drained soil.
