Bigg Boss (Tamil TV series) season 5 was the fifth season of the Tamil-language reality television game show Bigg Boss, based on the Dutch show Big Brother. Hosted by Kamal Haasan for the fifth consecutive time, the season premiered on Star Vijay and streamed on Disney+ Hotstar from October 3, 2021, to January 16, 2022.

The season followed the format of previous seasons, featuring a group of contestants, known as housemates, living together in a specially constructed house, isolated from the outside world. Housemates were continuously monitored by live television cameras and personal audio microphones. Throughout their stay in the house, the housemates competed in various tasks and challenges to win immunity from eviction.

Each week, the housemates nominated each other for eviction. Viewers voted for their favorite housemates, and the housemate with the fewest votes was evicted. This process continued until only a few housemates remained.

The finale saw the remaining contestants vying for the title of winner and a grand prize. Raju Jeyamohan emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss (Tamil TV series) season 5. Priyanka Deshpande was the runner-up. The season also featured a notable cast including Niroop Nandakumar, Pavani Reddy, and Amir Khan. The season was marked by controversies, alliances, and shifting dynamics among the housemates. The show aimed to capture the emotional responses and social interactions of the participants under pressure.
