Lassie (1997 TV series)

The Lassie television series, which aired from 1997 to 1999, was a Canadian-American remake of the classic Lassie franchise. The series starred Corey Sevier as Timmy Cabot, and, like previous incarnations, featured a Rough Collie dog named Lassie. This Lassie focused on Timmy and Lassie's adventures in the fictional town of Hudson Falls, Vermont. The show was produced by Cinar (now WildBrain) and distributed by Sony Pictures Television. Unlike some earlier Lassie series which focused on a boy and his dog, this version of the show featured a greater emphasis on environmental themes and family values. It ran for two seasons, totaling 52 episodes.
