Ricardinho (footballer, born 1978)
Ricardinho, whose full name is Ricardo Luís Pozzi Rodrigues (born May 23, 1978), is a Brazilian former footballer. He was primarily a midfielder, known for his technical skill, passing ability, and vision.
Ricardinho began his professional career in Brazil, playing for various clubs including Grêmio, Juventude, and Corinthians. His performances in Brazil attracted attention from European clubs, leading to spells in France with Bordeaux, and in England with Middlesbrough.
He was a member of the Brazilian national team, earning several caps and participating in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. While not always a regular starter, he was often utilized as a substitute and contributed to the team's attacking play.
After his time in Europe, Ricardinho returned to Brazil and continued his career with clubs such as Atlético Mineiro and Bahia. He officially retired from professional football in the late 2010s.
