WTVK (TV)

WTVK was a television station located in Knoxville, Tennessee, broadcasting on channel 26. It was owned by the South Central Broadcasting Corporation, which also owned WTVK-FM and WTVK-AM. The station operated from 1953 to 1983. Initially an affiliate of the ABC and DuMont networks, WTVK became an NBC affiliate in 1963. In 1983, South Central Broadcasting sold the station, and the call letters were changed to WKXT. The current station broadcasting on channel 26 in Knoxville is WBXX-TV, a CW affiliate.
