André Vauchez (politician)

André Vauchez (born 15 September 1938, died 15 November 2023) was a French politician. He served as a member of the Senate of France, representing the Haute-Savoie department, from 1995 to 2013. A member of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP), later known as The Republicans (LR), he was also Mayor of Sallanches from 1989 to 2008. Vauchez was active in local and regional development initiatives throughout his career, focusing on issues related to the economy, tourism, and infrastructure of the Haute-Savoie region.
