Firth Park (public park)
Firth Park is a public park located in the Firth Park ward of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The park was gifted to the city of Sheffield in 1875 by Mark Firth, a prominent steel manufacturer and philanthropist. It was designed by William Goldring, who also designed Endcliffe Park and Hillsborough Park.
The park covers approximately 15 hectares (37 acres) and features a variety of amenities, including formal gardens, a children's playground, a bowling green, a skate park, sports pitches (including football and cricket), and woodland areas. A bandstand is also located within the park and hosts occasional events.
Historically, Firth Park played a significant role in the community, serving as a recreational space and venue for public gatherings. The park's proximity to the Firth Park Academy, formerly Firth Park Grammar School, also contributes to its importance within the local area. The park is managed by Sheffield City Council.
