Drevviken

Drevviken is a lake located in the municipalities of Huddinge, Haninge, and Stockholm in Södermanland, Sweden. It forms part of the Tyresån watershed. The lake's surface area is approximately 4.4 square kilometers, and its maximum depth is about 13 meters.

Drevviken is a popular recreational area for swimming, fishing, boating, and ice skating in winter. Several beaches and bathing areas are located around the lake. The lake is also known for its good water quality, although algae blooms can occur during the summer months.

The name "Drevviken" is believed to derive from the Old Swedish word "dref," meaning "drift ice" or "floating ice," referring to the lake's ice cover during winter.

The area surrounding Drevviken is characterized by a mix of residential areas, forests, and agricultural land. Several nature reserves are located near the lake, contributing to its ecological value. The lake is an important habitat for a variety of fish species, birds, and other wildlife.
