Kim Olson
Kim Olson is a retired United States Air Force Colonel and a former Democratic candidate for Texas Agriculture Commissioner in 2018 and for U.S. Representative for Texas's 24th congressional district in 2020.
Olson graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and served for 25 years, becoming a decorated combat pilot and leader. Her military career included deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. After retiring from the Air Force, she became involved in various community and political activities.
In 2018, Olson ran for Texas Agriculture Commissioner, advocating for policies to support Texas farmers and ranchers. Although she lost the election to the incumbent, Sid Miller, she gained significant recognition for her campaign.
In 2020, Olson ran for U.S. Representative for Texas's 24th congressional district. She faced Republican candidate Beth Van Duyne in the general election, ultimately losing the race.
