Highway 42 (Israel)

Highway 42 is a major east-west highway in Israel, running from Ashdod in the west to Gedera in the east. It serves as a key transportation artery connecting these two cities and providing access to other towns and regions in the southern coastal plain. The highway facilitates both commuter and freight traffic. It intersects with several major highways, including Highway 4 (the coastal highway) and Highway 40. Highway 42 experiences significant traffic volume, especially during peak hours, and is a vital link in the regional transportation network.
