Norton railway station (Cheshire)

Norton railway station was a railway station serving the village of Norton, Cheshire, England, on the Birkenhead Joint Railway line. It opened on 1 August 1863 and closed to passengers on 7 September 1964. Goods traffic continued until 4 January 1965.

The station was situated on the Helsby-Ellesmere Port section of the line. It comprised two platforms and a station building, with a signal box located nearby.

The site of the station is now largely overgrown, with little remaining evidence of its existence. The tracks themselves remain in use as part of the Merseyrail network's Ellesmere Port branch of the Wirral Line, although no trains stop at the former Norton station site.
