Keith Edwards (footballer, born 1944)
Keith Edwards (born 27 February 1944) is an English former professional footballer.
Edwards played as a full back. He began his career at Sheffield Wednesday, making his debut in 1963. He went on to make over 200 league appearances for the Owls before joining Hull City in 1971.
After a spell at Hull, he moved to Rotherham United in 1975. He finished his professional career with Chesterfield.
Following his retirement from professional football, Edwards remained involved in the sport at a non-league level. Details of his post-football career are less extensively documented.
Edwards is remembered as a reliable and consistent defender during his time in the Football League, primarily with Sheffield Wednesday.
