K Callan

K Callan (born January 9, 1936) is a Canadian actress. She is best known for her roles in film and television, often portraying strong, character-driven women. Her career spans several decades, and she has appeared in a variety of genres.

Some of her notable film credits include Joe (1970), in which she played the role of Joan Deluca, a performance which garnered her critical acclaim. She also appeared in Marat/Sade (1967), A Touch of Class (1973), and American Gigolo (1980).

On television, Callan has had recurring and guest starring roles in numerous series. She is recognized for her portrayal of Martha Kent, Superman's adoptive mother, in the television series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993-1997). Other television appearances include All in the Family, St. Elsewhere, and Carnivàle.
