João Carvalho (runner)

João Carvalho (born March 8, 1988) is a Portuguese long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon.

Carvalho has represented Portugal in several major international competitions, including the Olympic Games and the European Athletics Championships. His best marathon time is 2:10:21, achieved at the 2019 Valencia Marathon. This performance secured his qualification for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which were postponed to 2021.
