Betong (federal constituency)
Betong is a federal constituency in Sarawak, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Dewan Rakyat since 1971.
The federal constituency was created in the 1969 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to the Dewan Rakyat under the first-past-the-post voting system.
Historically, Betong was a stronghold for the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), a component party of the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition (formerly Barisan Nasional). The seat is predominantly rural and its electorate is largely Iban.
