Iska Geri
Iska Geri (also sometimes written as Iska-Geri) is a crescent kick found in various martial arts, most notably in Korean martial arts such as Tae Kwon Do and Tang Soo Do. The technique involves bringing the leg up in a circular, arc-like motion, striking with the edge of the foot, typically targeting the torso, neck, or face of the opponent. The power is generated from the rotation of the hips and the speed of the leg. The kick can be executed from both the front and rear leg positions. Different variations exist based on the angle of the kick, target area, and the method of delivery. Its primary purpose is for offensive striking, but variations can be used for blocking as well.
