Jim Woodward (politician)
Jim Woodward (born c. 1965) is an American politician and businessman from Idaho. He served as a Republican member of the Idaho Senate representing District 1, which encompasses Bonner and Boundary counties, from 2019 to 2022.
Before entering politics, Woodward worked in the construction and real estate industries. He owned and operated a construction company in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Woodward was first elected to the Idaho Senate in 2018, defeating incumbent Shawn Keough in the Republican primary. During his tenure in the Senate, he served on various committees, including the Senate State Affairs Committee and the Senate Transportation Committee. He focused on issues related to property taxes, education, and economic development in North Idaho.
In 2022, Woodward lost the Republican primary to Scott Herndon.
