James King (Maryland politician)

James King is an American politician who has served in the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 27 since 2015. District 27 encompasses portions of Calvert, Charles, and Prince George's counties.

King is a member of the Democratic party. He currently sits on the Appropriations Committee and its subcommittees focusing on education and economic development. Prior to his appointment to the Appropriations Committee, he served on the Environment and Transportation Committee.

King's legislative priorities have often focused on issues related to education, the environment, and economic opportunity. He has sponsored and supported bills related to funding for public schools, environmental protection measures, and initiatives aimed at creating jobs in Maryland.

Before entering politics, King worked in the private sector and has a background in business. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park.
