Istibanja

Istibanja refers to the act of ritual cleansing in Islam, specifically after urination or defecation. It involves washing the private parts with water or, if water is unavailable, with permissible cleaning materials like stones or paper. Istibanja is considered an essential part of maintaining ritual purity (taharah) and is a necessary prerequisite for performing prayers (salat) and other acts of worship.
