Ira Nadel

Ira Bruce Nadel (born 1943) is a Canadian literary critic, biographer, and cultural historian. He is best known for his biographies and scholarly work on a range of subjects, including biography as a genre, Leonard Cohen, David Cronenberg, and Ezra Pound.

Nadel received his PhD from Cornell University and taught at the University of British Columbia for many years, holding the position of Professor of English. He has also held visiting professorships at various universities internationally.
