Jane Shore (poet)
Jane Shore (born circa 1947) is an American poet known for her confessional style and exploration of personal experiences, particularly those related to family, loss, and womanhood.
Shore received her B.A. from Goddard College and her M.F.A. from Columbia University. She has taught at various institutions, including Harvard University, George Washington University, and Sarah Lawrence College.
Her poetry collections include:
- Eye Level (1977), which won the Juniper Prize.
- The Minute Hand (1987), which won the Lamont Poetry Selection of the Academy of American Poets.
