International Socialist Organisation (New Zealand)
The International Socialist Organisation (ISO) was a Trotskyist political organisation in New Zealand. It was affiliated with the International Socialist Tendency led by the British Socialist Workers Party.
The ISO advocated for socialist revolution and opposed capitalism, imperialism, and all forms of oppression. Key campaigns focused on anti-war activism, support for workers' struggles, and solidarity with indigenous rights movements. It was involved in various activist coalitions and protests throughout its existence.
The organisation published a regular newspaper, Socialist Review, and held public meetings and educational events. It also produced pamphlets and other material on a range of political and social issues.
The ISO's membership was primarily based in Auckland and Wellington, with smaller branches in other cities. The group dissolved in early 2017 following internal disagreements and a crisis within the International Socialist Tendency.
