Idol 2014 (Sweden)
Idol 2014 was the tenth season of the Swedish singing competition Idol, which is broadcast on TV4. The season premiered in August 2014 and concluded in December 2014. The winner of the season was Lisa Ajax, marking the second time a female contestant won the competition after Agnes Carlsson in 2005.
The judging panel for Idol 2014 consisted of Anders Bagge, Laila Bagge Wahlgren, Alexander Bard, and Pär Lernström (who also served as the host).
The format of the show remained largely consistent with previous seasons, featuring auditions across Sweden, followed by qualifying rounds, live shows, and ultimately, a grand finale where the winner was chosen by public vote. The contestants performed various genres of music throughout the season, and themes were often assigned to each week of the live shows.
Lisa Ajax’s victory led to a recording contract and the release of her winner's single. The other finalists also gained significant exposure, and some pursued further careers in the music industry. The season was considered a success in terms of viewership and media attention.
