Egil Johansen (musician)
Egil Johansen (July 11, 1934 – December 4, 1998) was a Norwegian-Swedish jazz drummer, composer, and arranger. He was a highly versatile musician, known for his contributions to both jazz and classical music.
Johansen began his career in Norway before moving to Sweden in the late 1950s. He quickly became a prominent figure in the Swedish jazz scene, collaborating with numerous leading musicians. He was a long-time member of the Swedish Radio Jazz Group, where he showcased his exceptional drumming skills and contributed arrangements.
