Art Jones (American football)
Arthur "Art" Jones (born September 30, 1945) is a former American football defensive end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for twelve seasons.
Career:
Jones was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the fifth round (117th overall) of the 1968 NFL Draft. He played for the Redskins from 1968 to 1978. Primarily a backup and situational player early in his career, Jones became a key part of the Redskins' defensive line in the 1970s. He was known for his strength and ability to pressure the quarterback. He played in Super Bowl VII with the Redskins against the Miami Dolphins.
