Over It (band)
Over It was an American pop-punk band from Albany, New York, formed in 2002. The band consisted of Josh Hoyer (vocals/guitar), Nick Comeau (guitar/vocals), Dave Jensen (bass), and Peter Laffin (drums). They were known for their energetic live performances and catchy, melodic songs.
Over It gained prominence in the mid-2000s, touring extensively and building a dedicated fanbase. They released several EPs and albums, including "I Get It Now" (2004), "Step Outside Yourself" (2006), and "Torn Apart" (2008). Their music often featured themes of relationships, adolescence, and personal struggles, resonating with a young audience.
While Over It enjoyed a period of relative success, they eventually disbanded. Members pursued other musical projects, and the band's activity ceased. Despite their relatively short lifespan, Over It left a mark on the pop-punk scene and are remembered for their contributions to the genre during that era.
The band's sound was often compared to other pop-punk acts of the time, such as New Found Glory and Yellowcard, but they also incorporated elements of emo and alternative rock into their music.
