Mulabbis

Mulabbis (Arabic: ملبس) is a type of traditional Middle Eastern confection. It refers to a hard candy or sugar-coated almond or other nut. The process involves coating the nut with layers of sugar syrup, often colored, until a smooth, glossy, and sometimes spherical shell is formed. The coating is built up gradually through repeated dipping or tumbling in the sugar syrup and allowing each layer to dry before adding the next.

Mulabbis is typically made with almonds, chickpeas, or pistachios, though other nuts can also be used. The sugar coating is frequently flavored with rosewater, mastic, or other aromatics.
