iPhone 5s
The iPhone 5s is a smartphone designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It was announced on September 10, 2013, and released on September 20, 2013. As the seventh generation of the iPhone, it succeeded the iPhone 5 and preceded the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Key features of the iPhone 5s include the Apple A7 system-on-a-chip (SoC), a 64-bit processor, making it the first smartphone with a 64-bit processor. It also introduced the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, integrated into the home button, allowing users to unlock the phone and authorize purchases with their fingerprint.
The iPhone 5s retained the same industrial design and 4-inch Retina display as its predecessor. Camera improvements included a larger aperture and larger sensor pixels for better low-light performance, as well as 120 fps slow-motion video recording. It was available in silver, gold, and space gray colors.
The iPhone 5s shipped with iOS 7, which featured a redesigned user interface. The phone was discontinued on March 21, 2016, with the release of the iPhone SE. Support for iOS 12, the last major iOS version compatible with the iPhone 5s, ended in 2019.
