Hugh Dow

Hugh Dow (born circa 1757, died July 1831) was a Scottish merchant and political figure in Lower Canada.

Dow emigrated from Scotland and became a prominent merchant in Montreal, Lower Canada. He was involved in various commercial enterprises, including the fur trade and the import/export business. He held several public offices, reflecting his standing in the community. He served as a justice of the peace and as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada for Montreal East from 1808 to 1809.
