XHMU-FM

XHMU-FM is a radio station broadcasting from Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. It is owned and operated by Grupo CB (Comunicación de Michoacán). The station broadcasts on a frequency of 106.1 MHz and carries a contemporary hit radio (CHR) format under the name "Beat 100.9" (the station's official branding uses the frequency of sister station XHBE-FM). Prior to the Beat format, XHMU-FM was known as "Estéreo 106.1" with a more general Spanish-language pop format. The "XHMU" call sign identifies the station as a Mexican radio station broadcasting on the FM band; the "MU" portion identifies the station's location within Michoacán.
