Okamoto Station (Hyōgo)

Okamoto Station is a railway station on the Hankyu Kobe Line in Higashinada-ku, Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. It is station number HK-12.

Okamoto Station is served by Hankyu Railway's Kobe Main Line. It is located between Mikage Station to the east and Ashiyagawa Station to the west. The station is a popular stop for students attending nearby Kwansei Gakuin University, contributing to significant passenger traffic.

Station Layout

The station has two island platforms serving four tracks. The outer tracks are typically used for express and limited express trains, while the inner tracks are for local and semi-express services. Passengers can transfer between the two platforms via an underpass.

History

The station opened on July 16, 1920, as part of the Hanshin Kyuko Railway (later Hankyu Railway).

The station is also conveniently located for accessing other parts of Kobe and the surrounding region.
