Hargrave River (Nunavut)
The Hargrave River is a river located in the Kivalliq Region of Nunavut, Canada. It flows generally eastward, emptying into Chesterfield Inlet, which is a large inlet of Hudson Bay. The river is relatively short and characterized by tundra terrain with sparse vegetation. Its drainage basin is part of the larger Hudson Bay watershed. The river is primarily used by local Inuit communities for traditional hunting and fishing practices. There is limited infrastructure or permanent settlements along its course. The river is named after a Hudson's Bay Company official, likely an employee stationed at the nearby Chesterfield Inlet trading post.
