Cameo-Kid

Cameo-Kid is a term, primarily used in the television and film industries, referring to a child actor who is consistently cast in minor or non-speaking roles, often appearing only briefly or in the background. The roles are typically small enough that the actor's presence serves more as a visual element than a significant contribution to the plot or character development. Unlike child actors who gradually build a career through increasingly important roles, a cameo-kid is often characterized by their recurring appearances in similar, inconsequential parts. The term carries a connotation of limited acting range or a focus on visual appeal over acting ability. A cameo-kid may or may not transition into more substantial roles as they mature.
