1983–84 European Cup (handball)
The 1983–84 European Cup was the 24th edition of Europe's premier club handball tournament. It was organized by the European Handball Federation (EHF). The tournament featured the champion clubs from European nations.
The final was contested between Dukla Prague of Czechoslovakia and Metaloplastika Šabac of Yugoslavia. Metaloplastika Šabac won the final with an aggregate score of 43–37, securing their first European Cup title. The first leg, played in Prague, ended in a 21-13 victory for Metaloplastika Šabac. The second leg, played in Šabac, saw Metaloplastika win 22–24.
The tournament followed a knockout format, with teams progressing through rounds based on aggregate scores from home and away matches. Notable teams participating in the tournament included clubs from East Germany, Hungary, Spain, and other handball-playing nations. The competition showcased the high level of club handball prevalent in Europe during the 1980s.
